Bachour Opens at 2020 Salzedo in Downtown Coral Gables

Antonio Bachour, world renown pastry chef and the recipient of the 2018 Best Pastry Chef award, today opened Bachour restaurant, bakery, and pastry shop in Miami. Bachour is located on the ground floor at 2020 Salzedo, a mixed-use community that was developed by and houses the Codina Partners headquarters in downtown Coral Gables, FL.

“My dream came true today of having my own shop where I can show Miami and the world the best of what I have to offer,” said Antonio Bachour, award-winning pastry chef and co-owner of Bachour.

The restaurant is now open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for brunch on the weekends. The menu is Contemporary American, and will feature elevated versions of classic breakfast, lunch, and brunch dishes together with Bachour signature desserts. The breakfast offering at Bachour includes a full-line of viennoiserie, together with egg-based dishes, house-made granola, fruit bowls, and tartines. For lunch, the menu features hand-crafted sandwiches and salads, with select entrees. On the weekends brunch connoisseurs can enjoy both breakfast and lunch, along with expanded options such as the Bachour signature club sandwich and the “pastelito de guayaba” pancakes.

“We could not be happier to bring Antonio and his craft to downtown Coral Gables, and to create a great restaurant in the process,” said Javier Ramirez, restaurateur and co-owner of Bachour. “We have a an amazing team in place and we hope to contribute to the City Beautiful’s growing culinary landscape.”

The Bachour storefront at 2020 Salzedo Street is a 5,000 square foot space that features a combination of industrial, yet chic finishes and seats a total of 75 guests indoors. Guests are welcomed by a series of avant-garde style display cases covering most of the pastry and take out section, while a glass walled preparation kitchen will allow guests to see the chefs at work. On the outside, the approximately 2,000 square foot outdoor courtyard adjacent to the restaurant provides an old world Spanish setting complete with a fountain. When not used for the production of delectable masterpieces, the preparation kitchen will hold pastry workshops for pastry enthusiasts of all levels.

“Our tenants now have a one-of-kind food experience with Bachour open in our second home and corporate headquarters at 2020 Salzedo,” said Armando Codina, Executive Chairman of Codina Partners. “I invite foodies and pastry aficionados to come to 2020 Salzedo and indulge in the delectable delicacies created by Antonio and his team at Bachour.”
